What our customers have to say about our work.
“The level of craftsmanship when you see the intricacy of this furniture ... needed to be redone authentically, and we needed somebody with that level of craftsmanship and skill who could do it.” ~ Bill Stubblefield
"John and Becca are wonderful people to work with, and they certainly know their business. The pieces we have brought them over the years have always been beautifully restored, beyond our expectations." - Troy and Marla Thompson
"I entrusted The Stripping Workshop with a birds eye maple bedroom suite. It had belonged to my grandmother when she was a young girl,
so I wasn't going to let just anyone attempt to remove the orange stain and refinish it. The Stripping Workshop came highly recommended
by friends, and for good reason. They carefully repaired and renewed this furniture, and when we discovered the beautiful grain patterns beneath, they applied a natural finish to enhance the wood. It is gorgeous, and I will pass it on to my daughter. I am so glad I took this project to them and didn't attempt it myself and try to save a few bucks. Totally worth it - I could not be happier!"

"We had an old black dining room table that was sturdy, but ugly! We had John strip it and refinish it for us and it is now a beautiful piece of furniture. Can hardly believe it is the same table. We highly recommend The Stripping Workshop to anyone and everyone - true professionals." - Maureen Jackson
"I used The Stripping Workshop to repair 2 chairs. One chair is an antique highchair made by my great-great grandfather. The arm was broken and the color was, well, unique! John and Becca repaired the chair and MATCHED the stain color. You would never know that the chair was ever broken. I was amazed that the colors were spot on.
Great job, John and Becca!!" - Shane Sheperd
"As a property manager for several large homes, I have worked with many companies over the years. Without a doubt, The Stripping Workshop is one of the finest I have worked with. John and Rebecca are good, honest, and knowledgeable. I never worry about the expensive antiques that The Stripping Workshop works on for me. I know they are in good hands and I know the results will be exactly what I expected. The Stripping Workshop does exemplary work and they can be trusted in your home and with your property. You will not be disappointed. The Stripping Workshop is the best!" - Georgia Milam, Residential Property Manager
"The Stripping Workshop has completed multiple projects for me. Each has been a challenge, and the finished product a work of art. One was a 1930’s radio cabinet from my mother-in-law’s childhood; the restored finish is warm and glowing. This complicated piece is a delight to behold with all of its many features brought to life. Another project involved my grandmother’s chest of drawers. The Workshop’s expert hand brought out the waterfall design; it is exquisite. They also brought back from the very brink my grandparents’ steamer trunks so they could be used at my daughter’s wedding on a Hoosier Homestead Farm. The color match to her wedding color was precise, and the trunks fit so
well with other historical pieces. As a child I used to love to watch my father build pieces of furniture. One favorite was a bookcase that had some damage, which the Workshop rectified, giving me back a beloved memory. Do you see a pattern here? All treasured family pieces that required creative problem solving and talent to save and restore. The Workshop’s dedication, experience, loving care, expertise and serious attention to detail do not ever disappoint, rather the unveiling always elicits awe and joy." - Patty Cunningham
